Tabita Peralta Lugones

ARGENTINA, 1949

Twenty years in Buenos Aires, twenty in Barcelona, and twenty more in Paris and other places, yet always literature: translations, erotic novels, literary noir. A strange mix of languages, experiences and work. Though she’s always written, publishing, despite her surnames, never seemed a natural corollary. Perhaps because, for her, writing is another way of reflecting without ceasing to act, or perhaps an act of liberation from a long family history. And, above all, doing – educating her children, living in society, denouncing injustice – as a form of making a mark, leaving an imprint, continuing a history so that history continues… so that it won’t always be the same.
